Eden Locke, George Street

Had an awesome stay for six nights in the apartment. One my first night I wanted to cook, but the stove wouldn't turn on, so I asked one of the staff members for help. Immediately they went up with me and helped me out. The apartment was very big, had a very nice view over Edinburgh and everything worked very well. It is very central, takes around 5-10 minutes to walk to the tram station that takes you to the Airport. Would (and probably will) return :)

This is the second time I have stayed at Eden Locke. It is just a great place for a stopover. Lovely, immaculate, comfortable and well equipped rooms and a cute little cafe at reception. All the staff are super friendly too. Also goes without saying that the location is just perfect as it is so central in the beautiful city of Edinburgh

I booked this hotel on Expedia for my family visiting Edunburgh from overseas. They absolutely loved it and specifically asked me to leave the hotel raving reviews! The location is excellent with everything a walking distance. The rooms are apart-hotel rooms which are very convenient and include a kitchen, pots and pans, washer/dryer, microwave, oven, kettle and toaster . There is a cafe downstairs at the lobby which is great to buy coffee/tea/breakfast on the go.

This is my new favourite hotel in the world !!! not only were the staff absolutely lovely - I wish I got names to shoutout! - the service was also incredible, we even got upgraded :) They were kind enough to give us some Tony’s chocolate in the room & a dog bed as well as bowls for my dog. The room was absolutely stunning, I could’ve stayed forever! All in all, an absolutely fabulous place with fabulous staff and fabulous service! I definitely, highly recommend - next time I will make sure to stay for at least 2 nights :)

Pricey but worth it for the amazing location. I stayed in a suite on the ground floor. Loved the chic decor. It was also awesome having a small kitchen space and living room - perfect for evenings where you want to stay in and drink hot chocolate, watch movies, or read a book. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

Only rating service on this one, and it might be a surprising rating given my experience. Essentially, I booked a non-refundable room at Eden Locke for 13 nights. As often happens, a work issue came up and I had to push my stay four nights. I asked if the block of 13 nights could be shifted, and originally got a "yes", which was then changed to a no. (FYI - Many hotels will shift non-refundable rates if you ask nicely. In 15 years of travel, I've done it many times. ) It did not work this time. Not with Eden Locke. And believe me, I asked many times. So why am I giving them five stars for service? Because they listened and responded kindly, even if it wasn't the response I wanted. They were under no obligation to help me. They did not tire of my requests, and always took a gentle approach to their responses. If we're going to take away stars for rude responses, I think we should give them for patience and kindness. Eden Locke achieved both. I still have nine nights with them starting next week, and I'll return to post on the room itself as well as the location.

After having stayed in Whitworth Locke before in Manchester and having such a good experience, we decided to book this hotel in Edinburgh for my birthday trip! And we’re so glad we did! The rooms are beautiful as they always are in Locke hotels, the cafe downstairs was great. And staff were lovely and friendly! The lady that checked us in was particularly incredible! After having a sleepless night we arrived to the hotel a lot earlier than check in time and we were dreading having to stay out all day running on empty. We asked if there was any chance early check in was available and she allowed us to check in a lot earlier as our room was ready! We were really grateful for this and really appreciate hotels that offer little extras for guests! Thank you :)

Great location! Some of the team who works here is very friendly especially the woman who works in the cafe often in the morning (sorry I did not catch her name) and some of the team needs more training. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Some of the furniture is a little tired and needs a refresh. I am not sure why the description and pricing are of a 4 star hotel, as this is not a 4 star hotel! It's like an apartment and does not have the service and amenities of a hotel. The food and coffee were delicious!
